Audie Murphy Day
This annual event is hosted by the Audie Murphy/American Cotton Museum to celebrate Audie Leon Murphy, the most decorated combat soldier of World War II, as well as military veterans and those currently serving our country. Some of our featured speakers will include Seth Paridon, host of the popular podcast The Unauthorized History of the Pacific War will do a presentation on The Drive to Victory: Admiral Nimitz’s Island-Hopping Campaign & the Defeat of Japan and Terrance Furgerson, author of The Dallas Story: The North American Aviation Plant and the Industrial Mobilization during WWII. There will also be a zoom Q&A with actor Kent McCord, who knew Audie Murphy and is best known for his role in Adam-12. In addition, the bestselling movie Ride Clear of Diablo starring Audie Murphy will be shown at 2pm and 7pm at the Texan Theater on Friday, May 16th. Saturday morning’s events will be held at the Fletcher Warren Civic Center in Greenville and the afternoon and evening events will move to the Audie Murphy/American Cotton Museum.

Fees/Admission
All activities at the civic center will be free but a regular admission charge of $8 adults, $6 seniors/veterans and $3 students will apply to enter the Museum.
