DESCRIPTION:Hunt County Days at the Texas State Capitol\n\nHunt County Days is a signature event hosted by the Greenville Chamber of Commerce that brings together leaders and stakeholders from across all of Hunt County. Held every odd-numbered year during the Texas Legislative Session\, this unique advocacy event provides an opportunity to connect directly with our elected officials and state agencies while showcasing the priorities and future of Hunt County.\n\nCommunity members from every corner of the county are encouraged to participate\, including citizens\, business leaders\, elected officials\, city councils\, mayors\, school superintendents\, utility districts\, taxing entities\, nonprofit organizations\, and anyone with an interest in the future of Hunt County.\n\nDuring Hunt County Days\, participants will:\n\n\n	Meet with our State Representative and State Senator.\n	Learn about the Texas legislative process and how state government impacts our communities.\n	Engage with state agencies to discuss issues affecting Hunt County.\n	Tour the Texas State Capitol.\n	Be recognized on the floor of the Texas House and/or Senate.\n	Network with community leaders and decision-makers from throughout Hunt County.\n\n\nTopics of Discussion\n\nConversations with legislators and state agencies will focus on issues important to Hunt County\, including:\n\n\n	Economic Development\n	K-12 Education\n	Higher Education & Community Colleges\n	Healthcare\n	Infrastructure\n	Taxation\n	Tourism\n	Transportation\n	Technology\n	Utilities\n	Agriculture & Environmental Issues\n	Water Resources\n	Mental Health\n	Insurance\n\n\nHotel Accommodations\n\nA block of 27 guest rooms has been reserved at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center in Austin\, the official host hotel for Hunt County Days.
